It is less than three years ago (HI 8/2021) that we provided extensive coverage of the unprecedented breeding achievements of Stanton Farms in the Canadian Ilderton. Or actually we should say: it is already almost three years ago… Because since the last report, there have been many new developments at one of the leading breeding enterprises in the Holstein world. So we travelled to southern Ontario, to talk with Jim Stanton about the “ideal Stanton cow”, breeding strategy, current trends, and the latest news about the still young Stanton Genetics.
