Bles Dairies: Purpose Driven Company with Global Reach and Local Impact
The Dutch company Bles Dairies was founded in 1990 as a livestock exporter supplying pedigreed Holstein heifers to Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. A genetics division was added in 1997 when they became the Semex agent for the Netherlands and Belgium, and later for Denmark and Russia. Then the consultancy division covering everything to do with dairy farming was added in 2000. ‘We are passionate about all aspects of dairy farming from growing feed till the milk arrives at the processor,’ comments founder Henk Bles, who we interview along with managing director Jurjen Boerrigter.
