Jonathan Lamb: ‘We want our programs to be effective tools for the membership’

Jonathan Lamb is no stranger to the dairy business. In partnership with his parents and brother Matthew, Jonathan and his wife Alicia, along with their two children Kyra (5) and Griffin (3), farm in Oakfield, New York, where Oakfield Corners Dairy is a 12th generation family farm. The Lambs milk 8000 cows at 4 separate locations, 3 in New York and 1 in Ohio. Both Jonathan and Alicia are passionate about Registered Holsteins and are dedicated to both show and genomics. They shifted their focus to genomics when these came into play in 2008 and markets were quickly moving in that direction; however, they are also still very proud of the animals they have bred for the show ring where they are strong competitors.
