For decades already, sire selection primarily takes place via indexes. The number of bulls that are selected based on word of mouth reports, evaluating daughters, or in other ways, is small. Still, we all know: the quality of bulls cannot be fully displayed in numbers. Often it is the AI organizations that have additional information. For that reason, HI surveyed all AIs world-wide: ‘Which of your own AI bulls should be used more often?’ The response was tremendous – here is part one about sires that AIs believe should be used more extensively.
