Or the names of outstanding female donors like Europe’s former Nr.1 for gTPI, TGD-Swiss-Repro Carmen. Hardly any herd on the Swiss breeding scene, characterised by its conformation, can boast similar successes in terms of genomics as those of TGD-Holstein. And hardly any herd works in such a goal-oriented manner. In the past year alone, 12 highly rated young sires went to AI studs. Indeed, TGD is an exception among the prefixes in Switzerland.
