Since the August evaluations, Germany’s dairy farmers can look at the new economic index RZ€ in addition to the RZG. However, the RZ€ is not a revolution or a huge innovation but follows the trend that has been long seen with the $NM index in the USA or in other countries like Italy (IES) or Canada (Pro$). The message is clear: the importance of purely economic indexes is increasing. As such, the RZ€ could have a big future ahead. We took a closer look.
