R Green-Acres in Wisconsin: Home of Pride Holsteins

The village of Pepin in central-western Wisconsin lies on the shores of Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River. It used to be very much a farming community, but today it’s a tourist village with fancy restaurants and a boating harbour. In the hills just outside of town the Raethke family has farmed for generations. You can actually see the mighty Mississippi from their R Green-Acres farm where they register their Holsteins using the “Pride” prefix.
