Sherman Herrington, a passionate breeder in the American state of New York, laid the foundation. He set out to develop Holsteins that would reach their peak at ten years of age or so. The echo of this goal still reverberates fifty years later in the international breeding line that we know today as the Prudence family. Certainly also in the descendants of Lakeside Ups Red Range, the dam of gLPI elite bull Ranger-Red.
