At the beginning of the decade, GBM Annabell, a granddaughter of GBM Blackstar Jean, made headlines in North America with unbelievable results from flushing and several well-placed offspring. Then it was quieter for the Durham daughter, but that changed in the fall of 2017. The World Classic record of Mr Aristrocrat, the Frazzled son from the hih-index branch of Annabells’s Shottle daughter GBM America, was a thunderbolt. As such, it is quickly forgotten that a very special branch of the Jean family has also bloomed in Europe over the last few years, with partly eye-watering genomic results.
