The 79th edition of this historic show is scheduled to take place at CremonaFiere, Nov. 28 – 30, 2024.
"Week by week, the anticipation rises for the 79th edition of Fiere Zootecniche Internazionali, the event that traditionally brings together the dairy livestock community in Cremona and will take place at CremonaFiere on November 28, 29, and 30, 2024. As every year, at the beginning of autumn, the organizational efforts are in full swing, balancing confirmations and new developments. The presence of animals is also significant for this 79th edition, with more than 800 registered at the moment, which, as per tradition, represent the best of world zootechnics. The Cremona Show - featuring Holstein, Red Holstein, Jersey, and Brown cattle - is regarded worldwide as an event not to be missed, as it is precisely from the ring of this Lombard city that trends in global genetics are launched and solidified with the most interesting and “modern” animals. The presence of the American judge Nathan Thomas is also highly regarded."
As the ring prepares to host the queens of milk, CremonaFiere specialists are completing the setup for what will be the exhibition showcase, featuring a selection of the most qualified companies in the sector that will bring to the fair the most modern and efficient solutions for enhancing the competitiveness of livestock farms. The conference program is also well underway and remains a valuable and proven highlight of the event; this edition will feature a packed schedule of technical meetings, scientific insights, discussions, and economic and social debates.
“Through our conference program,” clarifies the general manager of CremonaFiere, Massimo De Bellis, “we have always aimed to provide a key to addressing the most pressing issues facing the livestock sector. An objective we will achieve this year as well, thanks to important collaborations. We can also say that we have strengthened relationships that have linked us for years to fundamental realities for the sector—such as AITA, SIVAR, CIB, universities, and associations.”
In Cremona, the focus on young people also remains high with various initiatives: from the “On the Way to Cremona” competition aimed at agricultural schools—designed to offer educational opportunities to students in their final classes—while also allowing young people to engage by participating in a competition, to the Beltrami plaque, which honors young agricultural entrepreneurs."
To provide further insights and outline what the 79th edition of the prestigious Cremonese event will entail, the president of CremonaFiere, Roberto Biloni, directly comments: “This fair serves as an invaluable resource for dairy farmers to gain a realistic and concise understanding of the sector's future and the solutions needed for increasingly sustainable and cutting-edge breeding. In the coming days, the registration of animals for the exhibition will close, and the fact that over 800 animals have already registered from across Italy and five European countries certainly emphasizes the event's significance for the dairy breeding community, both in Italy and internationally.”
